Update: we went back last night for another date night and had a 10/10 experience again! Thank you! We love Roe. Roe is our favorite new date night spot! We decided to go with chefs counter so we could see plates coming out, and there wasn't a single thing I wouldn't have loved to try. The oysters were a perfect little pop of perfection. The sweet potato dish has made me a sweet potato convert (normally I would skip them). We loved the Reuben croquettes and while I heard the menu will rotate, I hope those earn a permanent spot or at least return often! The dishes coming out of the kitchen were portioned nicely, beautiful to look at, and balanced. I loved watching the chefs perfect every plate, the expediter (I think thats’s what it’s called?) checked every single dish before it was sent to tables, perfecting them or sending them back if they didn’t meet standards. Our drinks were lovely, well balanced and fun. I have sensitivity to noise and lights and while it was lively, it wasnt *loud* which made it comfortable for me to carry a conversation with my husband. The lighting was perfect, moody but not so dark you cant see anything, and not so bright you have to squint. The bar side seemed a bit quieter and more mellow if you want an even calmer vibe. Other bonuses: purse hooks under the counter, and a coat rack in the hallway. Bathroom was cute and clean. Thank you for those considerations, Roe!

Roe is hands down the best restaurant in Bellingham! Absolutely loved every bite we had. The crab on hash brown was a fun concept and so delicious, tons of actual crab meat. The gnocchi was the highlight - pillowy, perfectly cooked and I'm already craving it again. Finished with their panna cotta which was light, not too sweet, and topped with the perfect amount of berries and meringue. Great atmosphere and service made the whole experience outstanding. Worth every penny!​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​ Pro tip: order their NA margarita but with tequila, it’s hands down the best marg in town - perfectly balanced and not too sweet. But what I really loved about it is the vibe, it’s beautiful, cozy, feels like a French bistro, and has a really cool open kitchen.

Absolutely loved our meal at Roe. The king salmon was cooked perfectly and packed with flavor, and the Parisian gnocchi was light, pillowy, and incredibly well done. We also ordered the chicken fried rabbit, and the chopped steak and fries. Consistently one of the best dining experiences in Bellingham—highly recommend.

Wonderfully prepared dishes filled with flavor within an atmosphere that felt like I was in Europe. Roe was bustling at 6pm on a Thursday night. We sat at the small bar and enjoyed watching the craft cocktails being made. Our food was delivered surprisingly fast and the entire staff was friendly.

7/18/25 update i will never complain again. i came here for my birthday meal because it was so amazing last time and they absolutely blew me away with how divine the food and drinks were. i got the rutabaga which was a culinary EXPERIENCE and my fiance got the bavette which was GENUINELY the best steak either of us g have ever eaten. there were no service delays or anything, genuinely had one of the best meals of my life. go here. fr. okay girlies. this was the BEST MEAL i have had in bellingham in a HOT minute. the space is adorable too!!! absolutely in love with the art on the walls. The drinks? immaculate. the salmon montadito? divine. the black cod? delicious. and the ricotta gnocchi? i would give up my hypothetical first born for a lifetime supply of it. the food also came out so fast which was such a pleasant surprise! is it a little pricey? yeah. is it worth the price? absolutely. my one and ONLY complaint is that while the server/host/bartender were all friendly, like VERY friendly, there didn’t seem to be a whole lot of organization. we placed our cocktail order 15-20 minutes before we got them, and while they were delicious, it just seemed a little long (especially because we were seated at the bar). i don’t want to rag on the bartender either because i could tell he was busy! however, i watched 2 other coworkers asked if he needed help and be told no. fair enough, but a 20 minute wait for a drink when the food came out in ten was a little wild. also, the host was the one who came by and took our food order after noticing that the bartender hadn’t taken it yet. which hey, totally fine, but a little weird since we were seated at the bar. last tiny con— i put in an order for a glass of wine while taking the last bites of our entree and it never came. i didn’t want to ask for an update since the cocktails took so long to be made, and we were nearly done with our food with dessert on the way (which by the way, the matcha panacotta is a must try. do yourself a

We enjoyed a marvelous meal at Roe last week! Do not miss the scrumptious asparagus with sea beans and the gorgeous beet salad with blackberries--both works of art in terms of texture, color and flavor. Also congrats on your pillowy gnocchi. I forgot to ask the name of our server, but he did an excellent job. Overall Roe has a fun vibe and we look forward to returning to try more of your wonderful food. Thank you.

My new favorite restaurant in Bellingham! Everything we had was amazing from the chicken nuggets and caviar to the Steak Frites. Adults and kids both devoured everything they put in front of us!

The food is incredible. Our favorite was the heirloom melons and chicken fried rabbit. Don’t skip out on the starters, they were on par with the entrees! We were celebrating our anniversary, unfortunately our reserved seats at the chefs table were not accommodated (for the second time) but the staff was so kind and comped our first round of drinks. The main room is beautiful but definitely noisy, I think the bar seating is our preference for a more intimate experience.

Lila P. took exceptionally good care of the four of us. It was our first visit to Roe and it certainly will not be our last. From the sharable starter, the Beet Salad, to our entrees, the Parisian Gnocchi, the delicious Bavette and two Roe Burgers, everyone throughly enjoyed their dinner. The space is beautiful and comfortable! The attached bar is certainly on our “must do” list for the near future.

Absolutely the current best food in Bellingham. The side bar is a chill alternative to the bustling dining room. A great spot to grab a few dishes to share along with one of their fantastic cocktails. I appreciate their constantly changing and seasonal menu too.
